If you are suffering from low sex drive or have symptoms of erectile dysfunction, you may feel very depressed and depression adds on to your problem as it is also a culprit for low libido and impotency. For some unfortunate men, these conditions may lead to failed marriages or breaking up of intimate relationships and for the luckier ones, just badly bruised male ego.
We all know that one of the reasons for the loss of male libido is its direct proportion with age. As a man gets older with age, the desire for sexual intercourse seems decline or even fade away. However, age alone is not the only or primary reason in declining sex drive in men as there are many other factors that are also the causes of low libido such as stress, anxiety, overweight, medications, poor health and so on and so forth.
So what can you do to improve your sex drive and sexual desire? The answer is to find out the reasons for your low sex drive and treat the cause of it. It seems pretty obvious, but many people do not do it and just rely on sexual enhancement drugs like Viagra.
Unknown to most men, one of the biggest reason for men having low sexual desire is obesity. This is partly due to the fact that being overweight can cause you to fatigued easily and also cause issues with low self esteem because deep inside you, you do know that you are not attractive although you may be in a denial mode.
Perhaps, low libido caused by obesity is the easiest to treat. The answer is just simply to start a weight loss program to lose weight so that you can increase your libido.
When you embark on a good weight loss and exercise regimen, you will be amazed at how good you will feel and the amount of increased energy you will have. Not only will you feel great, you will look good and sexually appealing too. This will ultimately make you healthier and more confident about your sexuality and thus will increase your sex drive.
Another big reason for males having low libido is stress. Many men spend way too much time worrying about their careers, finances, families and what not. Studies have shown that people spend 80% of their time worrying about things that never happen.
So the question is to ask yourself why should you worry about something that are probably not going to happen anyway. Why not use those time to do something more beneficial for yourself like embarking on an exercise program. Exercise is known to be able to relieve stress and make you produce happy hormones like dopamine and endorphins, the same pleasurable hormones you produce when having sex.
Taking medication may be another reason for your low sex drive or impotency. This is because most, if not all prescribed medications inherently carry some side effects which may have a negative impact on your libido. The next time when you take medicines, be aware whether if you experience any dip in your sex drive, if so, then consult your doctor right away.
The biggest cause of declining sexual desires and male impotency is the declining level of testosterone in your body. Testosterone is the hormone that is responsible for many of the functions of the male body including muscle development, maintaining strong healthy bones, development of the male sexual organs and many other male functions including your sex drive.
As the testosterone level drops in the body as we age, so does your sexuality. Fortunately, there are several natural testosterones booster supplements on the market which can help you increase testosterone production naturally.
Now that you know what are the causes for your low sex drive or erectile dysfunction, isn’t it about time to do something about it and start enjoying pleasurable sex with your partner instead of just relying on those blue pills?
