What is the single most popular reason for the loss of self esteem and confidence in young men? Amazingly it is related to the loss of their hair. Men who start to lose their hair at a young age have two options. Most opt for the first option which is to shave all of their hair off and have the bald look; the other option is to speak to a firm about hair transplant surgery.
There is nothing to say that there is anything wrong with the bald look, but for some people this is not an appropriate option as they may have a face that looks lost or ill without a head of hair. In these cases hair transplant surgery can be saving grace of these young men’s confidence, esteem and dignity.
I mentioned earlier that amazingly hair loss was the main reason behind the loss of self esteem and confidence in young men. But at the same time there is a logical reason behind it being the number one cause of people losing confidence and esteem. The world is extremely image focused today, pick up a magazine off the shelf of a newsagents and you will find that it is adorned by models who have picture perfect skin, features and no blemishes. It doesn’t matter whether it is Hello, Ok, Men’s Health or any other magazine, they all promote looking like a model.
But where are the magazines advertising hair transplants? You certainly won’t see any of this advertised on the front of a magazine. You will find adverts for hair transplant surgery within the pages of most of these books, but it is usually hidden away with all the other adverts need the rear of the magazine like it is something that we should be embarrassed about.
Hair loss is a very serious subject. It deserves to get the same attention as obesity, anorexia and people who have low self esteem do to other aspects of their body. We seem to justify it when a women wants to cosmetically enhance her appearance today, but for a man to admit that he is worried about the loss of his hair seems like a crazy admission. In many cases the individual will be told to pull themselves together and be told that hair loss is a natural part of life, but so are other physical issues but we do not shun those. Hair transplants shouldn’t be shunned; they should be applauded and congratulated on the ground breaking work and the lives that they help.
