As a fitness personal trainer, one of the most common thing my clients request me to get for them is to help them develop hard chiselled 6 pack abs like those of male fitness models as if there is a secret formula. If you are reading this article, I supposed you too want to know what this formula is. Hang on tight as I am going to disappoint you because there isn’t any secret.

Firstly, if you have a layer of blubber in your belly area, then you have to burn the fat off to reveal your glorious six pack “stomach muscles”. There is no way that you will ever get the eye popping, jaw dropping set of abs to be seen if your tummy fat is covering them up.

As a matter of fact, your belly will even look bigger if you build muscles beneath your tummy fat because your bigger abs muscles will just push your belly out even further! That is can be very grotesque indeed. You may do thousands of crunches regularly, but those crunches will not in any way burn off the fat around your belly!

Just hop into any gym and you can see men with fat around their bellies doing crunches after crunches hoping to burn their fat away. No way this is going to work no matter how dilligent they are.

Now get this straight. There is no such thing as spot reduction although it does help a little if you know how to regulate your hormones such as cortisol, leptin and testosterone. But that can get rather technical and is for another article altogether.

When you engage in a fat burning program you will lose fat all over your body, however as everyone has different genetic disposition, there will always be a different set of result for each individual regarding where the fat is coming off.

Ok, I lied to you earlier that there isn’t any secret. Yes, there is. Do you know that you can get your abs muscles without doing any crunches, sit ups or direct abs exercises? Surprised? No, I am not saying not to abs specific exercises, I am saying you can indrectly get your six pack abs muscles even without doing them.

Why is this so? Because if you do excellent compound exercises like the squats, deadlifts, bent over rows, weighted push ups and chip ups just to name a few, you would have already worked out your core muscles. Furthermore, as those exercises targetted many muscle parts, you are building muscles all over your body and your muscles like to grow symetrically and not specifically like when you were doing cruches targetting only the abs. Furthermore, the compound exercises mentioned earlier are excellent fat burners as well.

So the secret to getting your six pack abs to show is simply this.

a) Watch your diet to lose weight until your body fat percentage is below 12%.

b) Do cardio exercises for healthy heart and lungs and at the same time, burn more calories.

c) Workout with heavy compound exercise for overall muscle development including your abs muscles.

That’s it. If you persist with the above three steps, your six pack abs will show up pretty soon.

It is no secret that although flirting is one of the best ways attract women, most guys are too afraid or have no notion at all on flirting successfully. Most men just want to be the nice subservient guys and wondered why they are not successful in getting women’s number or dates.

It never fails to amaze me how so many men are afraid of flirting with women. Flirting with women can be fun and exciting and women like it too! However, to be a good flirt does require some work and practice but once you have mastered the techniques how to flirting, you will be amazed at your success rate with women.

First and foremost, you must understand that women enjoy flirting as it provides an air of sexual tension. It is sexually exciting and definitely more fun for them than in the company of nice subservient guys.

Why is this fun for women? Well, it is like as if they were little girls again when little boys teased them to get their attention. Deep down inside, all women are little girls at heart.

However, do watch your intention. This is because most men flirt with the expectation that they will succeed in getting a girl’s number or securing a date. You should change this mindset. Your objective in flirting should be just to make her enjoy herself and have fun with you and this will gradually builds up her attraction for you. By displaying this attitude and vibes, your flirting will be more natural and she will feel comfortable with you because she will instinctively know that you are interested in her well being and not just about getting under her skirt.

Do you remember when as little boys, you and your friends used to tease some little girls at the playground and they will come chasing you and later when you made up became good friends? Well, it is exactly the same thing with adult women. You tease them, they respond. You joke about them and they reciprocate by joking about you and in the end, everyone ended up chatting and teasing like old friends. That is fun, isn’t it?

Compare this with the typical nice guy approach which everybody is using. A typical scenario will be guy meets girl, guy listens to girl agreeing to everything that she says, guys talks about himself. How boring can it get? Where is the sexual tension and the fun? How can this sparks sexual chemistry?

You may make some flirting mistakes at first. Not to worry. Practice is the key. Start going out often and approach women and practice. However, before doing that, do some research on the techniques of flirting and teasing. You will be more confident when you are better prepared and girls just simply cannot resist confident guys.

So go ahead and practice your cheeky grin, wink or smirk and see what happens. Compose your own original witty pick up lines and jokes. Then get her laughing. The gauge is that when you can make girls laugh, half the battle is already won. So start flirting with women now and make it a natural habit and soon, you will have them chasing after you instead of the other way round for most “nice guys”.

Testosterone is an important hormone for men. Its main function is for the development of male features and attributes such as building muscle mass, bone growth and density, bodily hair, deeper voice and of course, the state of male sexual health and virility.

That is why low levels of testosterone in men can lead to erectile dysfunction. There many reasons why you have testosterone deficiency and here are just some of them. The first reason for your predicatment could very likely be your age. That is why if you are a man and take minerals as a form of dietary supplement, you should choose those with very low or those without iron content since if you eat healthily, you should have sufficient iron from your foods.

Our pituitary gland, which is located at the brain sends the signals to produce human hormones like such as testosterone. If the pituitary gland does not send any signals, the production of testosterone will naturally be stopped.

So it goes without saying that the main symptoms of testosterone deficiency is erectile dysfunction. Your low level of this hormone not only causes you to experience impotency but you may even lose your sex drive amongst many other symptoms. You may also find a decrease in your muscle mass and that in turn causes low metablism which leads you to gain weight, especially around the tummy area.

When you suffer from any of the above problems, then you may need to pay your doctor a visit to have a simple blood test to check your testosterone level. This will need to be done several times as levels of testosterone fluctuate throughout the day.

The good news is that there are many ways to raise your testosterone level through testosterone therapies in the form of injections, testos patches and gels. These are medical treatments.

Then there are also natural ways to boost your testosterone production such as regular but intensive exercise workouts and the consumption of natural testosterone boosting supplements to increase your body’s natural production capacity. You likely have an idea of a self-esteem definition. A definition of self-esteem could be anything describing feeling bad, or good, about yourself.

However, one of the main causes of feeling not good enough in my experience is a lack of self acceptance.

Reading and understanding a self-esteem definition won’t get you higher self-esteem, however you are searching because at the moment you don’t like your whole self and we have to start somewhere.

By the time you finish this article I will have shared with you my simple definition of self-esteem.

As usual when people are faced with a problem they turn to their intellect and try and solve it like it was a puzzle or crossword. Words can often reach inside and grab us and make the complicated simple. From that point on you know the issue and even though it might come through intellect, that understanding can open doors for you and lead you to a transformation.

Just like poetry can reflect your truth back to you, so can a well worded quote or definition.

I like to keep away from language and words that sound OK when put together but in reality don’t point you towards taking control of your experience of life.

Once such self-esteem definition might be…
‘A feeling of self worth, self confidence, and self respect.’

Sounds OK but doesn’t have anything new for you.

Or try…
‘How you feel about yourself - how you feel about who you are, the way you act, and how you look.’

Again, doesn’t say anything to answer the question ‘what is self-esteem?’

So what is a more useful definition?

Remember that no one sentence or quote can capture the essence of a human experience, however I would like to hopefully simplify your thoughts and give your mind something to grasp hold of…

Self-esteem is a reflection of the completeness of your acceptance of your human experience.

Think about a condition that has an obvious scale such as temperature. Temperature can be cold or it can be hot, or it can be anywhere along that scale.

This is a more accurate way of thinking than the normal way that hot is the opposite of cold. We call it opposite but it really is a scale.

So using the same analogy, if we called self-esteem the scale and labeled the bottom of the scale ‘denial of your human experience’ and labeled the top ‘acceptance of your human experience’ we might have a self-esteem definition that not only tells you what a cause maybe, but also what you can do to improve self-esteem, i.e work on accepting yourself as you are.
