Impotency can be very embarrassing for men. However it is a very common condition in men of all ages. Also known as Erectile Dysfunction, impotency is usually characterized by a man’s inability to get an erection of the penis for sexual function.

If you are suffering from impotency it is vital that you seek professional advice in order to solve the issues related to the condition. The causes are either psychological or physiological or a combination of the two. This article seeks to highlight some of the common causes of male impotency to help reduce the anxiety that you may feel as a result of the condition. Impotency can be cured if help is sought.

There are a wide range of possible physical causes of impotency. Many of these are the consequence of other illnesses that the man might be suffering from. Those who have Diabetes, Alzheimer’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and so on can develop impotency because of a reduction in testosterone and the effects of the related treatments.

Likewise if a man suffers from conditions that affect the hormones, such as a pituitary gland tumor, this can also indirectly cause impotence. Surgery can also cause problems of impotency for a man. In cancer patients, when radiotherapy has been used and the prostrate gland has been removed, the nerves that are needed in order to get an erection can be damaged.

A man’s lifestyle can also be a major factor in diagnosing the cause of impotency. Social activities such as drinking and smoking are reported to be a direct cause of impotency. Smoking is known to narrow the arteries and reduces blood flow. It is perhaps not surprising that there more cases of impotency reported for men who smoke than those who do not. Being overweight or not physically fit can also be a contributing factor. If this is the case then you also need to consider that impotency can be an early sign of heart disease.

If a man is taking medication for a long period of time then this can be the cause of impotency. Drugs that are taken to control high blood pressure or antidepressants are known to also relate to impotency. Illegal drugs such as cannabis and cocaine are also proven to interfere with blood flow can directly cause erection problems.

Any consideration of the causes of impotency needs also to assess the psychological mindset of the person. Dependent upon on the issues involved, psychological stress can be the cause and needs to be considered when looking at the most suitable treatments.

Psychological problems are more common in younger men and are usually related to the act of sexual intercourse and its wider implications. Common cases involve anxiety about performing, relationship problems and issues related to infidelity. The man may also have unresolved issues regarding their sexuality. Factors such as depression and fatigue can also be common causes.

Some men may also suffer from impotency if they have a mental disorder that may or may not yet have diagnosed. Panic attacks, Schizophrenia and other personality disorders can all be a cause of impotency.

If the physician is able to look at the facts, then the cause of male impotency can usually be identified quickly. Generally they are a combination of issues, with cause linked to physiology and psychology. The good news is that there are plenty of treatments available to solve male impotency.

There are several pills that can combat your impotence problem such as Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.

Are you one of those men who constantly wonder, Is my penis too small? If you are, then do not fret because you are not alone. Apparently, nearly half of all men feel their penis is not big enough and would like it to be bigger. Besides, men have been asking themselves is my penis too small throughout the ages, from as far back as the time of Michelangelo and probably even before that.

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) released a study in 2005 wherein a robust 45% of male respondents said they would like to have a bigger penis. The study also found that 84% of those surveyed feel that their penis is average or above average in size. Interestingly, the study’s findings echo the results of a similar study about women and a similar perception gap they feel about their breasts.

Although there is no medical study into this matter, some doctors say that many men regard themselves as having smaller penises than they actually are because of the foreshortening effect. The foreshortening effect is the result of looking down at your penis from above, a practice that makes your penis seem smaller visually. This is why a lot of men misjudge the size of their own penis when compared to that of other men whom they see naked and not from above looking down.

In addition, having a large stomach can also make one’s penis seem significantly smaller, which is probably why many fat men constantly ask themselves, is my penis too small? Large stomachs mean fat pubic bones and this gives an illusion of a shorter penis even if penis size measured from the base is normal. When fat accumulates in the pubic area, the penis looks naturally smaller to the naked eye.

Various interviews with professional sexologists reveal that many men who feel their penis is small actually have average-size penises. Sexologists have concluded that this misperception of penis size is due to other factors such as external anxieties, insecurities and a general perception of inadequacy.

Here’s a historical tidbit that will put a lot of man’s unwarranted concerns about their penis size in a positive light: Did you know that in ancient times, a small and uncircumcised penis was regarded as desirable in a man and that a big and circumcised penis was regarded as comical? In some writings, a penis that is too big was referred to as beastly.

That’s true. Notice that in ancient Roman and Greek art, the sight of relatively small male penises is quite common, even in Michelangelo’s world-famous sculpture David during the Renaissance Age. At that time, society put a premium on a smaller penis. And yet, you don’t have any evidence about males from that time asking themselves is my penis too small? More likely, they would have been rejoicing that fact and proclaiming my penis is really small!

So don’t be too hard on yourself or on your penis. Before you ask yourself is my penis too small, think about this article and the likelihood that your penis is not small at all.

A long line of generations of men have undergone male circumcision for a host of reasons, including religious, ceremonial, aesthetic and hygienic reasons. It is as natural a practice in some families as it is a source of puzzlement and confusion in others. What cannot be denied is that male circumcision is an important consideration in a man’s reproductive and sexual history.

To get a clearer idea of male circumcision, take note of the following illustrations. In male circumcision, part or the entire prepuce or foreskin is cut from the penis. In frenectomy, part of the frenulum is cut as well during circumcision.

Did you know that the practice of circumcision is older than recorded human history? Drawings indicating male circumcision have been found in caves dating back to the prehistoric ages and to stone-age man as well as in ancient Egyptian tombs.

The origins of male circumcision are not clear but some of the age-old drawings depict male circumcision as a form of ritual offering or sacrifice in honor of a deity. It has also been depicted as a ceremony that marks the passage from boyhood to manhood and practiced as a branding instrument to mark a slave or a defeated man. Certainly, it has been a highly encouraged if not required practice in a number of different religions.

Male circumcision has historically been popular in the United States, South Korea and the Philippines, although the number of Americans who are circumcised gets lower every year, due mainly to aesthetic considerations.

Circumcision is usually undertaken when the male is still an infant and anaesthesia is not always used. A 1998 medical study reveals that anaesthesia was used on infants during circumcision by only 45% of doctors, including 25% of obstetricians, 56% of family doctors and 71% of pediatricians.

The logic and need for male circumcision has been a topic of debate in the medical profession for decades. Many doctors feel that the only valid reasons for male circumcision are religious and medical. In fact, the medical association of the USA, Canada and Australia have all ruled against non-therapeutic circumcision or circumcision that is non-religious, non-ritualistic and not medically necessary.

In spite of that, an American Medical Association review in 1999 said that American parents chose elective circumcision for their child, it is largely because of social or cultural expectations, rather than medical concerns. In a separate study in 2001, 23.5% of American parents said they opted for circumcision because of health reasons.

On the other hand, some doctors believe that male circumcision does have its share of health benefits, including lowering the chances of penile cancer and sexually transmitted diseases as well as less urinary tract infections in babies. In some cases, male circumcision is a necessary procedure such as in the treatment of phimosis and chronic inflammation.

On one extreme, there is also the so-called genital integrity movement that condemns any kind of infant circumcision and regards it as male genital mutilation. However, their numbers are few and their beliefs largely unpopular.

We all have desires, both men and women. BUT they are very different.

Most of our desires, personality and drives have been pre-programmed into us at birth and through growing up within what I call our own individual circle of influence from friends and family.

Women definitely have a few main needs, interests, wants, and desires that need to be fulfilled when you are talking about their perfect man and relationships.

If you look at the numerous on-line dating websites which a women describes a partner she is striving to look for pretty much all mention that they are looking for friendship, perfect soul mate, loyal and stable etc etc. Yet if you look at what all the men are looking for in their on-line dating descriptions mentions nothing of this sort and always inevitably focus on physical looks and attractions.

However, if you look into more detail you will find a conflict between a woman’s ultimate desires and what they describe.

For example, a woman may want a strong masculine and dominating man, yet once she has chosen and is now with him, she may also want independence and thus feel like she is stuck and wants freedom.

Another example maybe that a women maybe looking for a man who can make her laugh all the time, yet when she has now found this humorous man, she feels that he never takes anything she says or does seriously, And SHE was the one who wanted him because of this personality!

Don’t get me wrong, men also have this dilemma as well but different ones.

An example of this could be that a man first thinks what he wants is a beautiful women in his arms who he can make love to all night long, yet she can be the type that is easily strayed to other men and is constantly on the search too even though she already has you. Now ask any man and that is a painful experience. Did he really desire this beautiful woman in the first place, I doubt it.

One funny one that I hear a lot of is when women complain, (OK not complain, if you’re a woman reading this), share their opinion with their girlfriends on their man who is glued to sports and always talk about sports. Yet what does sports give their man? The women was initially attracted to their man because of his masculinity and dominancy, and sports by nature fulfills a mans desire of competition, dominancy of others, power, adrenaline, action and adventure.

Wasn’t this all the traits that a women is attracted to their man in the first place. Now imagine their man changes and becomes submissive and gentle, his attraction to her would be lost almost immediately. She’ be wondering why he has changed so much and why she has lost her attraction to him?

If you have found my article interesting, I have come across a site which is at the moment giving away a massive free Book titled Secrets To Dating Beautiful Women. I have personally found this one of the best books on the subject of Dating and Relationships and I highly recommend you read it. It’s a must read.
